About Us

Building Trust Through Transparency

We act transparently to build trust between ourselves and our stakeholders. We report on our challenges, priorities, and progress in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

We share information about our products on our website and in stores. We indicate the place and conditions of manufacture, publish a list of suppliers and information about our supply chain, and explain our social and environmental compliance initiatives.

We explain our product design and standards: our focus on quality, fabric selection, and elimination of chemicals. Our sales teams follow these same guidelines and pass this information on to customers. We are attentive to the questions that all stakeholders raise about our products in stores and on social/digital channels. We inform our customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders about how we use their data (storage and use of personal data, security of banking transactions). Together, we go further.

Hong Kong Social and Environmental Compliance Office

Since 2012, our social and environmental compliance team has regularly conducted audits to assess working conditions and safety at factories that subcontract with us. The team identifies areas for improvement to enhance employee well-being and improve their personal lives, as well as to reduce our environmental footprint. For example, we pay close attention to waste sorting and chemical labeling, check fire extinguishing equipment, and verify factory compliance with safety regulations. We also check whether suppliers provide personal protective equipment (gloves, masks, helmets, etc.) to employees performing work considered “high-risk.”

Creation of a Code of Conduct for Suppliers and a Code of Ethics for Kiabers

The Code of Ethics commits Kiabers to promoting compliance with standards and ethical practices, as well as protecting the business interests of all stakeholders. It also provides guidance on appropriate attitudes and practices to help us become a socially responsible and sustainable company. Furthermore, it outlines expectations regarding the stance Kiabers should adopt in their daily decisions and in their relationships with other Kiabers or stakeholders.

The code of ethics affirms our commitments against corruption and is built around five priorities:

1. Reasonable selection and consideration of suppliers

2. Prohibition of conflicts of interest

3. Commitment to combating corruption

4. Combating money laundering

5. Combating facilitation payments

Our suppliers also sign a code of conduct that governs our requirements regarding the prohibition of child labor and the fight against any discrimination, promotes safety, regulates working hours, wages, respect for the environment, etc. All suppliers must comply with these guidelines. We visit them annually to conduct unannounced audits, which are carried out by our social and environmental compliance department, based in Asia.
